Whenever I visit handicraft fairs, I always prefer to buy handcrafted jewelries, bags, apparels, food items and home decor accessories from rural/urban slum communities, tribal cooperatives and SHG /SGSY groups. I always justify 'shopping for a cause' . Each moolah exchanged with a product actually reaches those in need not some nasty intermediaries. Each purchase empowers the rural producers and small women groups. I wholeheartedly support those grassroots people dreaming an economic upliftment though creativity. I will keep buying to support good causes , what about you ?
